We’re ready to post another review, for a product that caught our attention last August. The JetMaster Display System is a one-of-a-kind new product, well distributed in Europe, brought to the US by Innova Art, Ltd. that we are now proud to offer in the SOSA shop, to sign industry professionals as an official partner to Innova Art, Ltd.
When we viewed this product on it’s UK website, we were impressed with its clean and simple ability to transform any image into what looks like a gallery display – dimensional as though on a frame, like canvas stretchers. Yet it is lightweight, and assembled with simply an exacto knife and your two hands. It does require two hands, to get the board to bend on those cleverly scored spots!
As we dug deeper, and ordered our box for testing, the WOW factor hit us: This is a modestly priced product that opens doors to much more than simply a frameless framed image on the wall! An application (PSD pattern) allows you to arrange any image so that it is a “multiplex” – that is, a formidable wall array that becomes as large as you desire.
The base is a pre-cut, self-adhesive corrugated board to which you simply trim and adhere your print, and fold over the edges. No bubbles, untidy corners, staples or hooks. A fully assembled JetMaster ‘gallery wrap’ is so strong it won’t bow and so light it can be hung from just one tack. The solid construction ships flat and opens up a variety of new applications. The small ones make great give-aways, for special promotions. Other sizes are used by a bank chain for employee recognition programs. The digital print shop prints the recipient’s photo, adds the text, prints and assembles – voila! GREAT recognition, and it’s something the winner can take away with them when the month is up. We like the look of canvas – gorgeous, matte texture, creates a classic image instantly.
And how about this: Tradeshow exhibitors can now ship this lightweight product flat, saving hundreds on freight charges. On site, they quickly assemble their panels and affix with velcro to their booth. When they are all done – it is not too painful to leave the display boards behind, or to give them away to booth visitors! No return freight, and these are recyclable! And how about a book signing? It looks a lot like a book, on a grand scale, so why not print the book cover, and add the book signing announcement to the face? Contact your local bookstores – these signings happen all the time! What a great way to capture attention!
The WOW factor didn’t stop there! When we studied the product further, these boards are constructed of acid-free components (makes sense, as the high-end print industry and photographers use these!), and they are water-resistant. And, flame-retardant! Who would have thought?
One idea we at SOSA really like: Layering the panels! Place an array on a wall or in a tradeshow booth, then add another size on top, here and there, to emphasize key benefits, words, or images. Pretty great!
The JetMaster system is so popular, new “direct print” panels will be out in March or April of this year. While the incredible ease and convenience of adhesive-backed boards makes your job a snap, no matter what material you want to use, the non-adhesive, direct print boards will allow any print technology to be used -saving time and money. The direct print version (or for your preferred adhesive media) is now available in 16 x 20 and 24 x 30 sizes!
One more WOW: Innova Art won the coveted Fine Art Trade Guild’s Innovation Award for their Jetmaster Display System at the annual Art & Framing Industry Awards 2011.
